With the new seaon approaching, what are your favorite ice fishing spots. and what are the ice conditions.  In my area there is still open water, but it's freezing pretty quickly in New Haven county.

we did have 2 1/2 inches of hard ice,then 40 degree days and 12 inches of snow soften thing up.this week should freeze up again in windham county

Went by a local pond yesterday and saw a couple guys fishing.  I aske dhow much ice and they said about 5". 3" of which was frozen slush.  I think I will wait till the weekend to venture out.

hey pastime i am trying to go ice fishing for the first time with my cousin You said in a previous post that there were 5 inches but u did not specify where that was can you let me know what pond that is. Thanks man
