Went out this morning to see if i could finally land my first big bass of the season.  Things started off great.  Bunker were packed in thick right near the outside storm wall of cove marina.  The bad news was that there wasn't much chasing them around.  Since the water was calm, we decided to head back to Hempstead to test our luck.  Unfortunately, once we got there there were no schools of bunker to be found.  We then looked around the rye area, with no bunker to be found.  Stamford was the next stop.  There were a few very small schools of bunker in the outer part of the harbor but no larger fish chasing them.  Just small blues, just like everywhere else.  After a somewhat frustrating day of little action around bunker schools, we decided to pack it in.  But the good news was the bunker were still thick in Norwalk.  Hopefully we can get some decent size bass to come feed on them this week.
