went out today and decided to not fish the bunker schools...outside the stamford lighthouse about 50 feet of water slow start...first nice fish of the year forgot to check my drag from being stuck on a rock from the last fishing trip..snap Cry felt like a rookie  knuppel2..then the tide started to really move this was around 10 at night..first fish about 33inches...second fish 38inches 25lb fat one....my friend lost a nice one near the boat broke a 90lb swivel dont ask me how but it did..ran out of bait because we didn't snag enough bunker plus we were using half bunkers..right when the fish were really turned on....what a shame leaving the fish biting with a nice chum slick..kicking myself for not getting more bait..my friend is so upset for the swivel breaking I feel bad for him...lesson learned Its better to have extra bait because we would of caught a lot more fish.... Afro...who knows when I'll hit another school of stripers like that........
