During the spring striper run local fishermen are always seen snagging bunker with weighted & unweighted treble hooks. Looking for some tips or techniques to effectively catch bunker for bait snagging. I have seen cast nets used on boats, can cast nets be used from shore with the same effectiveness.
 

Recently I was watching Northeast Angling; they were fishing in Niantic CT targeting Black Sea Bass and Porgies. The bait they were using was cut squid strips and spearing combo soaked in Mustad Activate Saltwater Bait Enhancer (STBE-SALT). Has anyone tried this type of bait enhancer saltwater fishing.
