Giving the surf cast a try for the first time on Saturday for stripers. Any advsie would be appreciated

If you dont mind traveling try the fishing pier in old lyme. Have caught alot of stripers there. The best time is 1hr before high til an hour after.The pier is on the CT. river next to the dep offices.Its a great spot with freindly people
